Leicester Carpentry provide timber windows for heritage & listed buildings

Posted on by admin

At Leicester Carpentry and Joinery we have fitted many windows for historic buildings, a listed building is a building that is defined under a section 1 of the listed buildings act that consists of a list of buildings authorised by the secretary of state under the section.

With many listed buildings consent is required when either demolishing or changing the historic building which includes removing and replacing doors and windows, the only issue with older buildings and windows is that they do often need bringing up to new standards which is where Leicester Carpentery come in.

We provide double glazed timber framed windows that unlike what many double glazing companies are offering, come with a traditional look to enable your historic building to maintain its retro look but also offer a comfortable living space free from the elements and also offering a better level of security.

If you need advice then we ask you to contact us to speak to one of our friendly team about getting permissions sorted before installing the new windows.

All of our windows are made from the best woods, offering a variety of different styles such as sliding box sash windows and traditional flush made with high performance ovolo and quality finish.

Where can we carry out these works?

Leicester Carpentry and Joinery are Leicester based but serve the whole of the UK, with much of the initial carpentry work being carried out in their joinery, then they can visit your property to continue the installation, if your local to us in Leicester or based in the Leicestershire areas like Hinckley or Loughborough we can visit your property to draw up an accurate quote for what needs to be done to bring your listed building up to date.
